In the Victorian period, most domestic homes would have a sewing machine, and with large families these would have had regular use.

 

A lovely example of a working sewing machine. Seidel & Naumann Hand Crack Sewing Machine  Model #339 with case . Silver rectangular plate reads, "Model 339". Serial number base reads, "2191634". There is a sliding compartment which still holds the bobbin tin complete with bobbins.

 

In good general condition with some wear to the black paintwork. The wooden case is in very good condition.
