A Victorian pocket balance made in brass by Harrier .co
The scales were used in the mid 19th century to weigh gold sovereigns, and half sovereigns to make sure they haven't been trimmed or were counterfeit this was a practice that was rife in this period.
Condition : in good working condition, very slight wear to guilt finish, but otherwise virtually unused.
