A stunning 12 person setting of Victorian silver plated dessert knives and forks with mother of pearl handles. All in its original mahogany case with green velvet lining.
So unusual to find a service of 120 years old in such remarkably good condition. My best guess would be that this beautiful dessert service has been bought as a wedding gift in 1890, and only used for ‘ Special Occasions’ and dutifully put back in its case each time.
So glad it had such a careful owner to preserve it.
