Six Late Victorian Green Glasses
In the 19th century a wine glass would be quite small, the reason being that large dinner parties would consists of several courses and each course would be accompanied by a different wine, by the end of the meal one could consume a lot of wine, so by keeping the glasses small it helped to regulate alcohol consumption.
Here are a set of 6 green glasses with clear stems. Coloured glasses would have been used for white wine.
