Pewter Lidded Tankard / Flagon
From the seventeenth century onwards, there was scarcely a household in Britain that did not possess some items of pewter: plates, bowls, tankards, spoons, candlesticks were just some of the everyday items made from pewter. Pewter tankards were used in public houses from the 17th century through to the 20th century.
This is a pewter lidded tankard made around 1900, this design has been made from the 17th century onwards.
