Late Victorian Pestle and Mortar

These items would have been used in a Victorian household on a daily basis. Cooks would gather fresh herbs and spices and grind to a paste to flavour dishes.

This pestle and mortar is a made from ironstone ceramic with a part beech wood handle.

It is in good condition.

Dimensions: the mortar measures 15cm in diameter and 9cm high. The pestle measures 20cm long.
