From the seventeenth century onwards, there was scarcely a household in Britain that did not possess some items of pewter: plates, bowls, tankards, spoons, candlesticks were just some of the everyday items made from pewter.
A pair of pewter candlesticks in a classical design with decorative detail to the base and the top. They would have been used in a cottage or downstairs in a country house.
In overall good condition - minor scratches.
Dimensions: 23cm high and the base diameter is 11cm.
