Candlesticks and candelabra would have been used throughout the house as lighting in every room. They would adorn various places in the house including dining tables during mealtimes, mantle pieces throughout the evenings and bedsides at night. They came in various shapes and sizes and were made from a variety of materials including wood, brass, silver and silver plate.

Here we have a pair of gilded brass candlesticks with a foliate design to base. Very typically english with the sconce decoration. 

They are in reasonable condition with some scratches.

Dimensions:25 cm high and the base measure 13cm across.
