This is a lovely blue and white oval serving plate made in Staffordshire at the end of the Victorian period. Blue and white pottery was very popular during the late 18th century onwards. This large plate would be used to serve the Sunday roast and would be otherwise displayed on a dresser when not in use. It would have belonged to a relatively wealthy household.
