Pewter tankards were used in public houses from the 17th century through to the 20th century.

An unusual huge two handled Pewter Tankard/ Stein the body made from pewter with a glass bottom. This tankard was originally purchased as a trophy cup for a rowing championship and is inscribed JRC Eights 27th may 1879.

Very good condition.
