A Victorian invention, the crumb scoop was invented in 1850 but became more common place in the late 18th century. It is used to remove crumbs from the dining table by servants, they range in design and handle type.

 

This scoop has a resin handle made to look like bone or ivory and silver plated tray with elaborate engraved decoration front and back.

 

In great condition.
