These came in all maner of design from an inexpensive simple wooden piece, to an elaborate slate or ormolu piece.

This is a wooden mantle clock renowned London maker Elliot & Co.

This example would have been in a relatively wealthy house.

 

In overall good condition.

 

The clock does tick but no gaurentee on time keeping.
