These large, skimming tools were used in all kitchens (though the material would vary from iron through to brass / copper) and were for skimming vegetables etc from large cooking pots.

This particular example has a shapely brass bowl and slender handle with copper rivets attaching the two together.

In very good condition.

Dimensions: 52cm in length, the bowl is 20cm across and 18cm top to bottom
