A 19th Century Guady Welsh Tea Service
Such a pretty 19 th century hanc painted tea service in the Guady Welsh design.
Gaudy Welsh is a family of over 400 patterns.
Factories frequently copied each other and rarely labelled their work. Many of these patterns were named and documented by collectors. Even the name "Gaudy Welsh" was introduced by American collectors. (Welsh people call this ware "Swansea Cottage").
I personally love this ware, so bright and cheerful, always brings a smile to my face.
This is a set of 9 hand painted cups and saucers along with 1 cake plate.
