Late Victorian Small Brass Counter Bell
Bells were plentiful during the 19th and early 20th century and were used in all manor of situations, from a large school bell to counter bells in shops and delecate bells for ladies to use around the house to summon staff.
This is a small brass counter bell, which would have been in place in most high-street establishments. It is operated by hiting the button on top of the bell with the palm of your hand.
The general condition is good with some minor, fine scraches to the brass from regular use. Rings well.
