During the late 19th and 20th century dinner parties became popular. In order to impress your guests, large table settings were required in everything from the glassware, to serving pieces and pottery.
 
This is a very stylish suite of Art Deco glass ( please note the vertical stripe in the photograph is reflection from the lights, not a white stripe to the glass). These glasses have a conical shape with a simple cut decoration.
