A stationery or letter rack was an important part of any desk throughout the 19th century and into the first half of the 20th century.
 
This is a good sized oak stationery rack, used on a desk to store envelopes and writing paper. This one would have been at home in a middle income family of the time. This has a hole drilled in the top to hang on the wall if needed.
 
Condition is good with no cracks or splits
