An Georgian Engraved Glass
An early engraved small glass from the beginning of the 19th century. The tapered bowl is panel cut upon a blade collar and beautifully engraved with tiny bell shaped flowers, the conical foot has a polished pontil mark. A glass like this would be from a wealthy household. This glass would have been used for fortified wine or cordial (cordial at the time meant fermented fruit juice)

Dimensions: 13cm high, with a base of 5.5cm
