6 Victorian Glass Custard/Punch Cups
The Victorians were very fond of entertaining and loved to have a glass or piece of pottery for every occasion or use. Elaborate desserts were popular at the time, and custards would be part of this course.
Custard cups are small glasses usually with a tiny handle and would be used to serve such desserts as lemon posset or sylabub.
These 6 glass custard cups are very nicely made, with a plain bowl, sitting on a fine stem above a simple foot, and with hand blown handle. These glasses could also be used as punch cups.
Very good condition.
Dimensions: 7.5cm high with a bowl of 6cm diameter.
