SKU: RJ00558
£30.00Price

From the middle of the 19th century, when we were in the midst of the Industrial Revolution, many silversmiths set up premises in Birmingham and Sheffield, producing electroplated cutlery. It was the fashion in the Victorian era to have vast sets of cutlery for everyday use and special occasions, the best pieces being used for afternoon teas and dinner parties. This is a set of 6 silver plated forks of a smart design and would have been in a middle income household. The condition is good with no wear to the silver plate. Dimensions: 20cm long
