From the middle of the 19th century, when we were in the midst of the Industrial Revolution, many silversmiths set up premises in Birmingham and Sheffield, producing electroplated cutlery. It was the fashion in the Victorian era to have vast sets of cutlery for everyday use and special occasions. The best pieces being used for afternoon teas and dinner parties. This is a set of dinner forks from the end of the Victorian period in the old English design, this design was very popular from around 1890 through to today. In good condition with no ware to the silver plate. Dimensions: 21cm long
