A Pair of Victorian Cast Iron Fire Ornaments
The wheatsheaf was a popular symbol of the Victorians, used to decorate all manner of objects and symbolising the hope for a good harvest. This is a pair of small, cast iron fireplace decorations in the form of wheatsheafs, this would be a part of many country cottage mantlepieces along with the popular, brightly coloured Staffordshire figures.
