Late Victorian Wooden Handled Kitchen Cleaver

Meat cleavers would be used in kitchens of all classes. They would be on of the cooks everyday, go to utensils for butchering meat.

This cleaver is Victorian with a sycamore handle. The blade is made of steel and has a rusted patina which would be typical of a cleaver at this time regardless of age.

The cleaver is in very good condition.

Dimensions: 28cm from handle to blade. The blade is 8cm wide.
