This is a beautiful quality walnut jewel or dressing box. It is lined throughout in green fabric, with seperate compartments to accomodate all a lady would need when travelling.  There are four corner pouches in a circular shape, which I think would have originaly been used to hold perfume bottles etc. It has the original mirror plate inside the lid.
 
This would have been used by a wealthy society lady of the Victorian era.
 
Condition is very good with some very minor scratches to the wood. The box closes well.
