Victorian Silver Plated Hip Flask
Hip flasks became popular in the 19th century when it was the fashion for gentlemen and some ladies to enjoy the great outdoors. They would be carried in the pocket to shooting parties and other sporting events such as horse racing.
This is a silver plated hip flask with an engraved decoration of flowers and foliage. It has a screw cap. This could have been used by a lady or gentleman.
Their is no wear to the silver plate and the cap fits well. There are some small dinges, but overall in good appearence.
