Victorian Cranberry Tumblers

SKU: RJ01571
£12.00Price

Cranberry glass is a reddish pink glass made by adding gold salts or colloidal gold to molten glass, first made during the late Roman empire, but this skill was then lost. It was rediscovered by Bohemian glass makers in the 17th century. Cranberry glass reached its height during Victorian England.

These are cranberry glass tumblers. These would have been used as a champagne glass. We could use them now for water, wine or a port/liqueur glass. They are all hand blown and therefore slightly different. We have multiple, please ask.

Condition is good with no cracks or chips to the glass.

Dimensions: 12cm high x 6cm wide
