In the 18th and 19th centuries elaborate serving pieces were used in the dining rooms of wealthy households. Food would be brought from the kitchens by the staff and placed on buffet servers at the side of the doom, a butler or footman would then serve the food from the serving pieces. These pieces would come in all manner of materials and styles including silver, silver plated and porcelain.
Set of three graduated silver plated domes/cloches. Engraved on one side with a family crest.
The domes are all in good condition.

The smallest measures 25.5cm x 20cm with a height of 16cm.
The medium one measures 30cm x 24cm with a height of 18cm.
The largest one measures 36 x 28 with a height of 22cm.
