Metal Coffee Mill
Original 19th century quality coffee grinder was manufactured in Staffordshire by Kenrick & Sons. Made with a square cast iron base and a brass decorated hopper. The turned hardwood handle is made from exotic hardwood. The functioning coffee grinder has a drawer compartment with a brass knob where ground coffee can be collected. The base has integral eyelets in order to affix the grinder to a worktop, though this is not necessary given its weight. This style of domestic coffee grinder was common in late Victorian British kitchens as opposed to the wooden European models. Kenrick & sons were a popular manufacturer of the day. Grinders like these would have been passed down to future generations, and would have featured in late Victorian and Edwardian kitchens alike.
Dimensions: 19 cm tall (up to the handle) 12.6cm x 12.6cm base.
