Losol Ware Victorian Pottery Cheese Dish and Plate

The cheese dish was a familiar part of most Victorian kitchens, used to protect the cheese from vermin and keep it moist. These would usually be kept in a larder or cool side of the kitchen.
 
This is a good example of a late Victorian cheese dish.
 
In good condition.
 
Dimensions: 10cm high, with a base of 20cm x 16cm.
