Early 20th Century Hand-Held Leather Brush
Every household had a plethora of brushes for different cleaning jobs.
Here we have an example of a large brush with a leather strap to put your hand through in order to get a good purchess on the brush. I think because of the size and shape it would probably be used for polishing large leather items such as riding boots and saddles. This would have been used in large town or country houses by a member of the staff.
