Edwardian Polished Pewter Hip Flask
Hip flasks became popular in the 19th century when it was the fashion for gentlemen and some ladies to enjoy the great outdoors. They would be carried in the pocket to shooting parties and other sporting events such as horse racing.
This is a small smart leather covered hip flask, with a detachable cup, because of its size this could be used by a lady as well as a gentleman.
The glass is good condition and their are no dinges to the metal, the cap fits well.The leather has no splits,but does have some small marks, as seen in the close ups.
