Edwardian Silver Plated Hip Flask
Hip flasks became popular in the 19th century when it was the fashion for gentlemen and some ladies to enjoy the great outdoors. They would be carried in the pocket to shooting parties and other sporting events such as horse racing.
This is a small smart leather covered hip flask with a detachable cup, because of its size it could be used by a lady or a gentleman.
The condition is very good in both the leather and the silver plate. The cap has a bayonet twist fitting, which works well.
