Brass Long Handled Pan (Ladle) with Iron Handle
These long handled, brass pans were used in all reasonably well equipped kitchens and generally have a brass or copper bowl with a brass or iron handle. The pans would be used as ladels/scoops for serving soups, stews and so on ...
This particular one has a shallower brass bowl with a Japanned (a type of finish that originated as a European imitation of Asian lacquerwork) iron handle attached with brass rivets and has a loop to the end for hanging on a hook, nail or similar. This listing is for the one on the left in the last photo.
In very good condition.
Dimensions: 48cm in length and the bowl has a diameter of 14cm.
