A Victorian Stone ink Bottle by Stephens
Before the invention of the fountain pen, all correspondence would be done using a dip pen and ink. Inkwells and accessories came in all shapes and sizes and for all pockets, from the humble stone bottle to the wonderfully ornate bronze and silver inkwells.
This is a stone bottle of ink which would have been used in a school or clerks office in the Victorian period.
Condition of the bottle is good, some wear to the label.
