A Victorian Heavy Cut Claret Jug
During the late 19th and 20th century, dinner parties became popular. In order to impress your guests, large table settings were required in everything from the glassware, to serving pieces and pottery.
This is a great quality cut glass claret jug from the end of the victorian period, the bowl is hob nail cut with a cut and feceted neck and hand applied handle. Thuis would have been used in a wealthy household.
condition is good, there are tiny flea bite chips to the base of the stopper ( see close up )
