A Selection of Late Victorian Codswallop Bottles more Available
An iconic piece - these green glass bottles were invented at the end of the 19 th century. This special little bottle had a glass marble inside and would contain a soft carbonated drink. The marble would be pushed to the top of the bottle by the gas when filled. You would simply push the marble down to open the bottle!
As with all glass drinks bottles of the time, the used bottles would be returned to the factory and refilled (early recycling), though we're sure many found themselves getting broken open to 'free' the glass marble.
All are in good condition.
Dimensions: These bottles stand 21cm high.
These bottles are priced at £8 each, we generally always have a good quantity available for immediate purchase / hire, but if more are required, pelase get in touch as more can generally be sourced.
