A Pair of Victorian Slate and Marble Urns

A Pair of Victorian Slate and Marble Urns

SKU: RJ00255
£165.00Price

In The 18th and 19th century almost every house had at least one fireplace, and therefore a mantlepiece, and in the grander houses, several mantlepieces. These would be decorated with all manner of things from clocks, candlesticks, photograph frames and pottery and brass ornaments.

This is a rather grand pair of polished slate urns with marble inserts. The best town house or country estate would display such decorations in either the parlour, billiard room or bedrooms mantles.

Both urns are of solid conscruction with very small nibbles to the edges of the urns.

Dimensions: length 10cm x 9cm deep x 19cm high
