A Large Victorian Wash Jug and Bowl
Before bathrooms were introduced into the home, the household would all do their ablutions in the bedroom. A large jug and bowl would be usually kept on a marble-topped stand, and water would be poured from the jug into the large bowl and used to wash yourself morning and night.
This is a large pottery jug and bowl made by Keeling and company in England.
Condition is good with no cracks or chips, there is some minor scuffing to the inside of the bowl, where the jug has been sat for many years.
Dimensions : Jug is 33 cm high
