A Key shaped Corkscrew with a Crown Top
Corkscrews were part of the general equipment of a middle to upper class society in the 19th century. Wine drinking was only a pastime of the wealthy, the poorer households would drink beer and cider, as the ingredients for these drinks were cheap and readily available, unlike grapes which required a green house or orangerie to grow in the British weather.
This is a brass corkscrew in the shape of a key with a crown decoration.
