Very Large Late Victorian Silver Plated Hip Flask

Hip flasks became popular in the 19th century when it was the fashion for gentlemen and some ladies to be in the great outdoors. They would be carried in the pocket to shooting parties and other sporting events such as horse racing. 
 
This is a particularly large hip flask. The glass body is covered in leather and has a silver plated detachable cup and screw cap.
