During the 18th and 19th century most adults would have a small pocket knife. This would be used for anything from aiding needlework, to peeling a piece of fruit.

 

This pocket knife would be used by a gentleman. It is faced back and front with polished horn, and has two blades of differing sizes, it also has a hook to enable the user to hang it from a belt.

 

In good condition, with no splits or cracks to the horn, and the blades retract well.

 

Dimensions: when closed 9cm.
