Good Quality Victorian Gentleman's Fitted Travelling Case
Leaving home for any length of time in the 19th and early 20th century required a lot of luggage.
Part of this luggage would be a travelling toiletry case for men and women.
This is a good quality gentleman's travelling case, complete with original mirror, a lidded soap dish (with soap) which doubles as a shaving bowl, a cut throat razor, a shaving brush, a leather strop, and a mildly abrasive compound which is applied to the leather strop to sharpen the cut throat razor. The case neatly folds and is secured with a leather strap
The leather is in good condition, the mirror is original but has some foxing to the silvering and the other fitted items are all in good condition.
