This is an wooden artist's case containing a paint pallette and brushes along with several tubes of used oil paint. The case is made from wood with a leather carrying handle. This type of box would be used by an artist for his or her outdoor painting and was very compact for an artists needs.
 
The condition, as you would expect, is showing the signs of use. The case itself is sturdy though and closes well.
