6 Early 20th Century Royal Albert Crown China Coffee Cups and Saucers
Early 20th century fasions saw a departure from the elaborate and over-decorated style of the Victorian era. Everything from Architecture, furniture, clothes and household objects had clear smarter lines. This was echoed in the design for pottery and china. A popular pottery design would be a simple gold line or blue line.
This design of blue and gold would have been manufactured by several different companies, and a household would build their collection with a mixture of pieces all looking the same, but sourced from different companies. These coffee cups are marked Royal Albert, and two of saucers marked Sutherland china.
These pieces would have been in a working household and would have been kept back for "best"
The six cups and saucers have no chips or cracks and are in good condition, except for slight rubing to some of the gold lines.
