6 Early 20th Century Coffee Cups and Saucers
Early 20th century fasions saw a departure from the elaborate and over-decorated style of the Victorian era. Everything from Architecture, furniture, clothes and household objects had clear smarter lines. This was echoed in the design for pottery and china. A popular pottery design would be a simple gold line or blue line.
This design of blue and gold would have been manufactured by several different companies, and a household would build their collection with a mixture of pieces all looking the same but sourced from different companies. These coffee cups are marked Made in England and the saucers marked Royal Stafford made in England.
