These large, skimming tools were used in all kitchens (though the material would vary from iron through to brass / copper) and were used for skimming vegetables etc. from large cooking pots.
 
A large brass skimmer with brass rivets to the bowl. The hand wrought handle is looped at the end to allow this tool to be hung on the wall or rack.
 
Condition is good with no damage or repairs.
