5 Early 20th Century Children's Books
A mixed group of children's books, ranging from 1910 to 1920. At the end of the Victorian period and long into the first quarter of the 20th century, Sunday school was a big part of children's lives, this type of book was wildly given to children as prizes at sunday school to encourage good behaviour and learning. They would have been a prized possesion of children from humble houses and would have been displayed on bedroom shelves and mantlepieces.
These books do have some wear and staining which is reflected in the use they have had from generations of children. All are sturdy and the spines in tact.
