Victorian Silver Plated Bon-Bon Dish
In the late 18th and 19th century, sugar was a luxury commodity, and all manner of sugar fancies would be made, such as sugared almonds, marzipan and candied fruits. These all had thier own special serving dish of either glass, silver, silver plated or porcelain and were usually elevated on a stem to elevate their importance.
This is an elegant silver plated bon bon dish with a handle and stem. It is in very good condition.
